dear m.j.s.,

casual words on another blog just made me miss you. it's been a long time since thick potato slices with sweet chili sauce and bottles of wine and me learning to like coffee black with sugar because there was no half and half to be had in your apartment. even longer since housesitting and hearing about that cute guy in a different department and happy hours at botanica and even longer still since dorms and music classes and long nights at the french roast.

can we pick up those threads again? because, no, seriously. i miss you. we've been friends for a long time but right now the last moments i think of are our wonder-twin powers deactivating at a sydney university show and sushi and leaving a book on your table as i headed for the airport. but there's more than that to this history. i don't think i'm wrong, there. i know there are gaps, but they don't have to be that big. at least i hope not. i know this is kind of a big one.
